This program is for individuals recovering from a mental health diagnosis such as anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder or depression.
ACT is based on the principal of accepting what is out of the participant's personal control while committing to action to enrich their life and make it more meaningful. It aims for individuals to learn how to handle painful thoughts and feelings in such a way to have less impact and influence (mindfulness skills), and to clarify what is truly important and meaningful (clarity values). It teaches participants to use this knowledge to guide, inspire and motivate themselves to set goals and take action that enriches their life.
- 9.15am to 3.00pm
- One day a week over six weeks
- Refreshments and lunch are provided
