Rehabilitation plays a crucial role in managing this condition, as studies indicate that intensive multidisciplinary rehabilitation can significantly improve patients' quality of life (JNNP).

At Eden Private Hospital, we are committed to providing comprehensive care for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease. Our Shakedown Parkinson’s Program, lead by Dr Sanjay Gangadharan is a multidisciplinary rehabilitation initiative designed to enhance movement, function, and speech quality, while empowering patients and their carers with the knowledge to effectively manage the condition.

  • Personalised, Multidisciplinary Care: Delivered by a dedicated team offering Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, and Occupational Therapy.
  • Comprehensive Education: Covers falls prevention, energy conservation, nutrition, mental health, medication management, and more, ensuring patients are empowered to manage their condition effectively.

Program Highlights

  • 3–4 Days Per Week: Tuesday to Friday
  • 14–16 Sessions Over 4–5 Weeks: Includes initial and final assessments
  • Time: 9 AM to 12 PM
