Our neurological program includes individually tailored treatment of various conditions such as Stroke, Parkinson's Disease, TIA, Neuropathy, Spinal Cord Injury, MS, and other issues which effect the brain or nervous system.
Neurological rehabilitation program
Neurological conditions can often have very sudden and life changing impacts on individuals and their families. The best patient outcomes are achieved when intervention in commenced as soon as possible after the neurological event.
At Eden Private Hospital, our Specialists and team of therapists are highly experienced in this area, and have the equipment, facilities, and skills to help you or your loved one regain the best possible physical and psychological function.
Common neurological conditions include:
- Stroke
- Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA)
- Peripheral/Poly Neuropathies
- Parkinson's Disease
- Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
- Motor Neuron Disease
- Guillian-Barre Syndrome
- Brain Injury/Tumour
- Spinal Injury/Tumour.
Inpatient program structure
- Initial assessment within 24 hours of admission by Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietitian, Social Worker, Psychologist and Rehabilitation Physician
- Holistic team approach to treatment and supporting you through to optimal recovery post neurological event
- Daily therapy from all disciplines as indicated, six days a week (or as tolerated)
- Discharge planning into a safe and supportive environment and referral into the specilised neurological day program.
Day program structure
- One and a half to three hours of therapy
- Exercise physiology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, dietetics and psychology
- One to two days per week over six weeks (program length can be varied based on your progress).

Ask your General Practitioner or Neurologist to refer you to our program (see below).
Private health fund, DVA and WorkCover referrals are accepted.
If you have an excess or co-payment with your health insurance, you will be required to pay this at the time of admission.
Self-funded patients will be required to pay at the time of admission.
